Volunteers

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Envision Jazz Festival! Volunteers keep participating groups moving from their warm-up to performance to their clinic, as well as assist with the stage-set-ups for different groups.

What: We need about 20 volunteers per shift to assist as band guides, stage crew, photographer’s assistant, runners and to record performances. The jobs are not difficult and you will have lots of support. If you have any particular training, please let us know, otherwise you will be placed where you are needed.

Where: Sullivan Heights Secondary School Locations

When: Thursday February 4, Friday February 5, and Saturday February 6, 2010. The bulk of the work is between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with most of the evening work being at the start and finish of the festival.

To apply: Complete and submit this application form.

Adult Volunteers: Surrey School District policy requires adults working with students to undergo a Criminal Records Check. Adults wishing to volunteer for the festival should take the letter provided to the nearest location of the RCMP to have this check done. There is no cost but it does 2 weeks to complete.
